Free admission to Power Talks is included with daily Art Toronto admission. Nigel Prince is Executive Director of the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver. Prior to this he was Curator at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, where he was responsible for organizing solo exhibitions and publications with artists including Donald Judd, Olafur Eliasson, Martin Boyce, Shahzia Sikander, Ryan Gander, and Susan Philipsz. While at Ikon he helped launch many Canadian artists on to an international platform with their first museum shows. Prince's talk will reference recent curatorial projects as a means to outline the philosophical, thematic and practical direction he is bringing to the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver's program.
