Saturday, 27 May 2023 - The 2023 Door’s Open activations at Montgomery’ Inn breakthrough tired old narratives about who occupied historic houses and who historic house museum are for. For nearly two centuries, Montgomery’s Inn has been a place of shelter and a temporary home to many newcomers. In partnership with Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto and CultureLink, we connect that history to the modern day through art, crafts, and stories created by Newcomer Women.
Activities include: Two exhibitions of artwork by Newcomer women, performances by the artists, self-guided historic house tours, and live music from The Music Studio.
