Saturday, 27 May 2023 - In 1874 British immigrants John and Jemima Howard donated their land to the City of Toronto to become High Park. Join interpretive staff for a rare chance to respectfully explore of the final resting place of the Howards – their 6 metre high Tomb. Hear the details of the couple's intimate life. Step behind a unique cast-iron fence that John bought second-hand that has a fascinating history and is older that the city itself. Reflect on the Howard's colonial legacy and how High Park came to be established on Indigenous territory. Colborne Lodge Museum is closed for renovations however the 1855 Coach House is currently open for visitors to explore the rich and diverse history of High Park. - 11 Colborne Lodge Dr, Toronto, ON M6R, Canada - Event Details
