suc-Seeding - A Workshop for Children

Tuesday, 14 March 2023 - Every year after lying dormant overwinter, environmental conditions allow mature seeds to germinate. The outer shell cracks, allowing plant life to explode from the soil. The life of the seed is influenced by the surrounding environment and relationship and encounters to humans and animals. This life cycle is important in the growth of plants in our spaces and also for agricultural production. Bringing thoughtful attention to the things we can’t easily see and the complex natural world under our feet, participants will work with the Artist-in-Resident, Charmaine Lurch, to contribute to the artist collective work and also create a small work with coloured-wire to take home. Recommended for ages 12 to 17. - 191 Guildwood Pkwy, Scarborough, ON M1E 1P5, Canada - Event Details
