Wednesday 14 August 2024 - Volunteers will guide small groups down the Cedarvale Ravine Trail to St. Clair W. station, then west to Noojimo’iwewin Gitigaan along the streetcar route. They will introduce the concept of Two-Eyed Seeing, then encourage its use during the hike. How we observe this landscape using Indigenous ways of knowing as well as Western ways of knowing will shape the conversation.
This hike through Cedarvale Ravine combined with a visit to a streetside garden devoted to Right Relationships will inspire all participants to delve deeper into the past, present, and future of Indigenous people in what is now Toronto, and to learn from their experiences and knowledge of the Land, Waters, and leadership. - 729 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6G 3J4, Canada -
