Tuesday 25 June 2024 - The virtual public meeting will share details about recommendations from
Basement Flooding Study Areas 42, 44 and 62. The study area is located downtown from St. Clair Avenue West to Lake Ontario and Jane Street to the Don Valley Parkway. This area has experienced basement and recurring surface flooding during extreme rainfall events. A study is underway to determine the contributing factors to surface and basement flooding. The City is recommending solutions to improve the City's sewer system and drainage routes in order to mitigate flooding problems.
