Sunday, 9 October 2022 - Interdisciplinary fine mural artist, Curtia Wright, presents the final culminating public art mural Our Crowns, a visual journey of shared community stories and creativity, highlighting the importance of local barber shops and salons in the historic, current, and future character of Little Jamaica.
Through summer 2022, Curtia has worked alongside community participants who identify as part of the Little Jamaica community and the African Diaspora in building The Mane Event mural story through community engagement and workshops leading up to its two-week production in September.
This pop-up event will feature: a participatory art activity, light refreshments and surprise giveaways!
