People, Power, & the Park

Thursday, 22 September 2022 - People, Power, & the Park is a free four-day outdoor celebration of Allan Gardens’ history as a site of solidarity, community, protest, and power. From Thursday, September 22 to Sunday, September 25, join us for installations, projections, poetry and live performances honouring Indigenous peacemakers and social justice advocates. From 19th-century suffragists and Oscar Wilde; to 20th-century anti-fascist and gay rights champions; to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls artists and activists and affordable housing advocates today. Featuring music from Lillian Allen & Band: Revving up the Tea Party, Joaquín Hidalgo’s Caribbean Jazz Trio, the Counterpoint Community Orchestra and more! - 160 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M5A 2E5, Canada - Event Details
