Saturday, 24 September 2022 - In her collection of glass and glass/mixed media works, Kate highlights the way these mediums can carry literal and metaphoric weight in their ability to be transparent, translucent or opaque, allowing us to consider what we can see through, see beyond, or not see at all because it is obscured. Through cutting, fusing, layering, and juxtaposing glass and mixed media, the artist creates a tactile method of sharing how we meet issues in our world, whether personal, historical or contemporary, with others.
