Power Walkers receive free registration for next year's Walk and earn a badge for their personal page. The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope was founded by Peggy Truscott in 2002. Peggy wanted to create a place where women living with ovarian cancer and survivors could connect with one another, surrounded by a community of support. With truckloads of sunflowers and her friends and family in tow, Peggy started a movement. To date, the Walk has raised over $21 million for Ovarian Cancer Canada programs and initiatives. This work is only possible with your support. People who have been touched by the disease come together at the Walk to rally for hope and to form a community of support. Here, bonds are honoured, friendships are born and memories are made. Walk for HER to help change lives and power vital research. .
