Rouge Park's 11th Annual Winter Bird Count Presented by: Rouge Park and Toronto Zoo Date: January 12, 2014 Event Time(s):8:00 AM to 3:00 PMVolunteers will be split into groups and each group will have an approximate start time of 8:00am, but this time may vary depending on which group you are placed. What's a Bird Count?Thousands of birds call Rouge Park home during the winter months, and we want to know who's around. Volunteers, along with a brilliant bird expert, venture out to forests, meadows and wetlands and count all birds seen and heard. No experience is needed, but please be over the age of 12 and happy to spend much of the day hiking in any weather. I'm in! How do I sign up?This is a popular event in Rouge Park and space is limited. Drop us an email birdcount@rougepark.com or give us a call to register. Location:Event takes place in multiple locations, please contact event organizers for more details. Public Transit:The event will take place in Rouge Park, which will be split up in different sectors for the actual bird count. All groups will then head to the Toronto Zoo for a tally session.
