Reception 6:30 - Program 7:00 Website: www.kmhs.ca Costs: Free Kensington Market Historical Society presents two speakers who will address the idea, the substance and the process of recording aspects of Jewish Market life as existed during the 1920's, 30's, 40's, and 50's. The first speaker will be Edra Bayefsky, daughter of the late artist Aba Bayefsky, who will use entries from her father's journals and images of his work to lend a sense of his lasting and historical portrait of the Market. The second speaker will be Dara Solomon, Director of the Ontario Jewish Archives, who will use stories from the Archives' collections, descriptions of the Archives' walking tours and a new, soon-to-be-launched, interactive mapping project to retrieve Market narratives of the period.
