In this bilingual lecture conducted in French and English, curator Ami Barak will discuss his contribution to Toronto's Scotiabank Nuit Blanche and compare his experience here with his earlier work on the Parisian iteration. Describing Nuit Blanche as the city turned into a one-night, open-air museum, Barak will reflect on the process of taking manufactured objects back to the streets and reconciling the public with the ubiquitous status of the artwork.
