Candlelight Vigil 2013 Presented by: CLV2013 Committee Date: April 29, 2013 Event Time(s):8:00 PM to 9:30 PMWebsite: www.armenianclv.ca/Costs: Free The Candlelight Vigil (CLV) is an annual event commemorating the tragic annihilation of 1.5 million Armenians in 1915 during the first world war. On this day, members both within and outside of the Toronto-Armenian community are encouraged to peacefully join together in remembering the acts carried out deliberately and systematically by the Ottoman Empire. Highlights of the gathering include poem recitations, musical performances and readings of personal genocide accounts. Along with remembrance, the Vigil recognizes and promotes justice. Location:Queen's Park (South Side) University Avenue and College Street Public Transit:Take the Yonge-University-Spadina subway to Queen's Park Station. Walk north to Queen's Park.
