It is sparkling fun, and was composed by Gioacchino Rossini, the master of comic spirit. Our performance will feature soloists Sheila Dietrich, soprano; Leigh-Anne Martin, mezzo-soprano; Stephen Mc Clare, tenor; Peter Mc Gillivray, baritone; as well as Linda Roedl on piano; Ian Grundy on organ; and the 100-voice Toronto Classical Singers, conducted by Jurgen Petrenko.
