The Silver of Peru

Luminescence: The Silver of Peru Presented by: Patronato Plata del Peru Starts: January 15, 2013 Ends: March 9, 2013 Website: www.utac.utoronto.ca/future-exhibitions Costs: Free Luminescence: The Silver of Peru is the largest collection of its kind ever seen in Canada. The exhibition features 140 silver artifacts, some of which have never left Peru and one-of-kind national treasures that hold over 2,000 years of history. The pieces have been selected from private collections and national museums to form an exclusive exploration of silver throughout Peruvian history and culture. The exhibit is organized by the Patronato Plata del Peru and curated by Dr. Anthony Shelton, Director of UBC's Museum of Anthropology.
