Its performances embrace the imagination, excellence and panache of the Quartet's namesake, the Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dalí. The Dalí performs an eclectic program including Mendelssohn's String Quartet Op. 44 No. 1, and Quartet No. 1 by Brazil's Heitor Villa-Lobos, along with shorter works by Spain's Joaquín Turina and composers from Argentina, Cuba and Panama, and a rhythmic 2000 work by Venezuelan composer Efrain Amaya.
