Our children's concert offers music by Rob Kapilow inspired by Chris van Allsburg's classic Christmas story, Polar Express; choristers from the Canadian Children's Opera Company, internationally acclaimed Canadian baritone Jeffrey Carl and performers from the Wonderful World of Circus. Then 15-year-old Daniel Hass, winner of the 2012 Orchestra Toronto Concerto Competition, performs Dvorak's Cello Concerto. Also on the program are Dance of the Hours from La Gioconda, by Amilcare Ponchielli, and The Enchanted Garden from Ma Mere L'Oye, by Maurice Ravel.
