Wheelchair Relay Challenge 2012

Toronto Wheelchair Relay Challenge Presented by: Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario Date: September 23, 2012 Event Time(s):9:00 AM to 12:00 PMWebsite: give.cpaont.org/toronto Email: 2012 Torontorelay@cpaont.org Phone:416-422-5644 ext. 218 Cost Information: Participants raise funds to race The Wheelchair Relay Challenge is a fun, family-friendly event that successfully levels the playing field for people who use wheelchairs. Participants – with and without disabilities – team up to relay race around a track. In this race, disability is an advantage as those who regularly use a wheelchair usually can out push someone who is using a chair for the first time. However, for those without disabilities, the relay emphasizes the skills needed for wheelchair use and, more importantly, that we all have varying levels of skills and challenges. All money raised supports people who are re-building their lives after a spinal cord injury through the programs and services of Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario.
