Mural unveiling FREE. Join members of the Montgomery's Inn staff, both current and former, in partnership with the Village of Islington BIA, for a lively look at the War of 1812. Topics for October will include weapons and tactics, military music (with live performance) and an overview of the major battles and campaigns with particular attention to the Battle of York. November's lecture will be conducted by Dorothy Duncan and will focus on the impact of the War on Upper Canadian farming communities, infrastructure and food security. $12 plus tax per lecture or $40 for all four. Pre-registration required. This series will feature the unveiling of the latest Islington Village Mural on October 25th 3:30 p.m., which commemorates the bicentennial of the War.
