To reserve your tickets call Celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. On the tour you will be introduced to the garden voices of John and Jemima and hear stories such as the mystery of the wandering quince, the famous spring blossoms and the enormous picnics that used to take place on the estate. Birds of all kinds find the area attractive as well – from chickadees and cardinals to bald eagles and turkey vultures on their annual migration north and south. On this tour, you might witness the magical monarch butterfly migration. In the gardens the plant material is true to the Howard diaries and journals and with few exceptions, plant varieties predate 1890. Admission to the garden restoration tour includes a visit in Colborne Lodge.
