The Great Waterfront Trail Adventure is an annual cycling holiday along the 720 km Waterfront Trail over eight sensational days. To commemorate the War of 1812, we organized an itinerary that takes participants Fort to Fort, and visits significant heritage sites along the route. Short of time? Join us on July 14 to 16 for a unique weekend Adventure that begins in Hamilton. Cycle to Toronto's Fort York National Historic Site, home to Canada's largest collection of original War of 1812 buildings. Camp overnight in Fort York on July 15. After a hearty 1812-style breakfast, a cannon blast signals the start of the ride to Oshawa. Be sure to visit the information booth to learn about the heritage stops that you can visit along the way.
