The Polar Bear Dip 2011 Presented by Habitat For Humanity Toronto Date: January 1, 2011 Time: 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM Price range: Free Since 2004, hundreds of Torontonians have gathered to ring in the New Year with a splash at the annual Toronto Polar Bear Dip in support of Habitat for Humanity Toronto and you can join them! Be a Polar Bear Dipper and dive into Lake Ontario at Sunnyside Park this New Year s Day and enjoy live music and hot beverages to warm yourself up from Toronto s bitter climate. Participants are asked to collect pledges and top fundraisers will be awarded prizes. Last year, with the generous support of over 200 dippers and several sponsoring companies, over $21,000 was raised for Habitat for Humanity Toronto! Shake the New Year s Eve cobwebs away with Polar Bear fun to raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity Toronto.
