The Polar Bear Dip 2011 Presented by Habitat For Humanity Toronto Date: January 1, 2011 Time: 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM Price range: Free Since 2004, hundreds of Torontonians have gathered to ring in the New Year with a splash at the annual Toronto Polar Bear Dip in support of Habitat for Humanity Toronto and you can join them! Be a Polar Bear Dipper and dive into Lake Ontario at Sunnyside Park this New Year s Day and enjoy live music and hot beverages to warm yourself up from Toronto s bitter climate. Participants are asked to collect pledges and top fundraisers will be awarded prizes. Last year, with the generous support of over 200 dippers and several sponsoring companies, over $21,000 was raised for Habitat for Humanity Toronto! Shake the New Year s Eve cobwebs away with Polar Bear fun to raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity Toronto. As with any fundraising event in support of Habitat Toronto, the money raised at the 6th annual Polar Bear Dip will go directly to building morem safe and decent homes for families living in need.
