See tall Tulip Trees, beautiful Flowering Dogwood, Sassafrass and the 187 ft Cottonwood tree. Join our 13 km hike through rolling hills and wetlands. Experience a heritage village that emulates southern Ontario life in the late 1800s and enjoy the popular War of 1812 re-enactment. Stroll along the picturesque harbour of Port Dover for refreshment afterwards. Bus Fare to Backus Woods: $22 for members of the Bruce Trail Conservancy with membership card, $28 for non-members; plus $3 admission fee to Backus Heritage Conservation Area. Seating is on a 'first-come, first seated' basis. Bring snacks, lunch and two litres of water. Wear hiking boots.
