Spirit of Diversity International Sculpture Symposium and Our Fragile Planet Exhibit Produced by Toronto Art Visions Starts: August 20, 2010 10:00 AM Ends: September 4, 2010 06:00 PM Cost: Free The world s first international sculpture and painting symposium to use recycled marble the Italian Carrara marble panels removed from the fa ade of Toronto s iconic First Canadian Place is coming to the outdoor park at First Canadian Place 100 King St. W. from Aug 20-31 and at Leonardo Galleries 133 Avenue Rd. from Aug 20-Sept 4. The 2010 participants include two Canadian artists and a delegation of five Costa Rican artists sponsored by the Costa Rica Tourism Board and the Costa Rica Ministry of Culture and Youth. The events will be open for public viewing and will feature on-site creation of sculptures, a mural and paintings. Artwork created during the symposium will be added to the gallery exhibition as they are completed.
