HerStory Speaks Presented by Alyssa C. Fearon, Toronto curator Starts: August 19, 2010 06:00 PM Ends: August 26, 2010 10:00 PM Cost: $10 - $19 The Opening Night celebration of HerStory Speaks, is a unique, visual storytelling experience featuring passionate and imaginative artwork by five female Afro/Caribbean-Canadian artists from around the GTA. The opening celebration will include artist discussions, a performance by Sudanese musician Waleed Abdulhamid and opportunities to meet with each artist. Admission is $15 per person. The HerStory Speaks exhibit runs at the Trane Studio until August 26, 2010 and is the first exhibit of local Toronto curator, Alyssa C. Fearon. Award-winning celebrity artist Suritah Teresa Wignall showcases alongside Kathy Moscou, Camille Gordon, Jaden Artiste and Kanyika Renee Yorke.
